Abstract: This issue contains a very interesting contribution from the conservation team at the Bergen Museum in Norway with Gordon Turner-Walker writing about the conservation of a collection of whale skeletons. Moving on to a different continent, we have an article about the refurbishment of the tapestry room at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, with Jessica Chloros reporting on the current development of the conservation project. This issue also contains news on international events including developments on the current state of cultural heritage under threat in Libya, the earthquakes that hit the East Coast of North America at the end of August and news from UNESCO and the World Monument Fund. NiC listing pages cover international events from conferences to workshops and thanks to the new digital format, listings can be updated regularly via the IIC website.
