The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to lead their heritage science program. The director will be responsible for directing, planning and administering a full-scale, multidisciplinary program of heritage science research and testing to support the long-term preservation of the NARA's holdings. The world class holdings range from the iconic Charters of Freedom, documents, bound volumes, artifacts, audios, videos to motion pictures. The director will deliver an ambitious program of world class research in collaboration with preservation professionals within the National Archives, allied conservation organizations, the higher education sector, and heritage science initiatives nationally and internationally.
