International Conference of Heritage Conservation along the Belt and Road Zones: Between Politics and Professionalism (Hong Kong)

This conference aims to bring together scholars in the field of heritage studies for an intensive discussion on heritage governance among the BRI countries, focusing in particular on the role of heritage diplomacy as well as the uneasy relationship between “politics” and “professionalism” in the conservation process.

The Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is pleased to announce The Dutch Method Unfolded, a masterclass on wax-resin linings to be held at the UvA from 29 June to 10 July 2020. The two-week program is supported by the Getty Foundation as part of its Conserving Canvas initiative.

The Forum is organised by the Catalan Corpus Vitrearum and the International Scientific Committee for the Conservation of Stained Glass in conjunction with the Institut d'Estudis Catalans. Other local institutions take part also in this meeting (Generalitat, bishoprics, town hall...).

Registration is from Thursday 9th July. For those also attending the CVMA Colloquium, registration will be open on Monday 6th July 2020.
