Call for Papers: 7th Papyrus Curatorial and Conservation Meeting

The Dutch National Museum of Antiquities is delighted to host the Seventh Papyrus Curatorial and Conservation Meeting. The two day symposium is open to museum professionals and scholars working with papyrus collections. It provides an unique forum for conservators, curators and researchers to meet and discuss challenges they face around acces, preservation and research of papyrus collections.

Date: 6 and 7 June 2024
Location: Rijksmuseum van Oudheden Leiden, The Netherlands
Costs: 30 euro (incl lunch both days)

Maximum participants: 50.

Call for papers
We are now inviting proposals for individual papers of 20 minutes on subjects related to:


Conservation and preservation
Cataloguing
Digitisation and access
Funding opportunities
Ongoing and completed projects
Research

Submissions should include a title, summary (max. 200-300 words) and bio (max. 50 words). Please submit your proposals by a message to Eliza Jacobi by 1 February 2024. Successful submissions will be announced in March 2024 with a full program to follow.
