CALL FOR SPEAKERS

The Washington Conservation Guild's (WCG) annual 3-Ring Circus will be an entirely virtual event taking place in January 2021. WCG invite submissions to the 2021 symposium in which you consider sharing your experience and expertise by submitting an abstract tailored for a virtual format.

This year, the planning committee is accepting submissions from all cultural heritage professionals working and living within and outside of the Washington D.C, Maryland and Virginia region. The committee will aim to reflect the full diversity of the cultural heritage spectrum so we encourage different levels of seniority in the profession to consider submitting an abstract. Priority will be given to WCG members.

WCG invite participants to incorporate, explore, challenge and propose topics impacted by current events of the past year. As always, we welcome abstracts including treatment, technical analysis, laboratory design, preventative conservation, fundraising, education, and advocacy. Live or pre-recorded presentations should be no longer than 15 minutes in length.

SUGGESTED TOPICS
• Disaster/COVID-19 Response
• Black Lives Matter/Social Justice
• Virtual Internships
• Sustainability/Climate Change
• Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
• Positive or negative changes at the workplace due to COVID-19

Submissions will be accepted until November 2, 2020.
