The Georgia Archives Conservation Department together with the Big River Bindery are excited to present four 3-day workshops in 2020 on the conservation and preservation of books and paper artefacts:
· Preservation Management for Cultural Heritage Institutions – March 20 – 22 ($200)
· Introduction to Paper Conservation – April 17 – 19 ($350)
· Book Conservation for Circulating and Reference Collections – May 8 – 10 ($350)
· Conservation Enclosures for Libraries and Archives – June 12 – 14 ($350)
These workshops are for anyone who works in cultural heritage institutions, libraries, museums, galleries, or just has an interest in learning on how to best look after their own objects. The workshops are set at a foundational level and no prior experience or training is required.
Registration fees include all materials, and lunch and snacks will be provided.
A discounted price of $1050 is available for registering for all four workshops.
Registration deadline for the Preservation Management Workshop and discounted workshop bundle is 15 March 2020.
