The newly established AIC Imaging Working Group (IWG) seeks participants interested in helping to further the Working Group's goals of:
• supporting the conservation community in imaging-related topics and endeavors by increasing communication and encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration;
• identifying and addressing, through sustainable collaboration, the challenges that conservators encounter related to imaging resources, practices and objectives; and
• encourage a consistently high level of conservation imaging by providing resources, solutions, and community through testing, training and standardization.
The IWG's first major effort will be the building of a Wiki, a dynamic resource for the community, which will serve as both a knowledge repository and also a platform for community projects and resource distribution. The Wiki aims to establish an online, universally accessible platform that encourages the community to share and discuss imaging resources, projects and solutions.
If you would like to be involved, please email AIC.ImagingWG@gmail.com. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 1pm EDT through Zoom. You need not be an AIC member to join this effort – indeed, we welcome all contributors! Please feel free to forward this to friends and colleagues.
