We know these are worrying times and we’re all trying to adapt to a rapidly changing situation at work and at home.
It is difficult to know what restrictions on public gatherings, social distancing as well as travel, will be in place over the coming weeks and months but we’re doing everything we can to support our community online.
Most of our programme for the next few months, including IIC's webinars as part of our Professional Development Series, can be delivered virtually and we will do our very best to limit disruption and keep going. We're creating an extended IIC Round Up series and we have made available free learning and professional development resources on our IIC Community platform to inspire our community during this difficult sitiuation.
We are still planning for a successful IIC Edinburgh Congress this November. We have convened an operational planning group to address our response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Given that the Congress and management of the Congress is based within the UK, the group’s policy is to follow the advice from Public Health England (PHE), Health Protection Scotland (HPS), the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the National Health Service (NHS). We will continue to monitor the situation regularly and to develop health and safety protocols in line with WHO guidelines –we’ll keep all the latest updates and information about registrations on the IIC Congress Website.
Finally, we want to take a moment to send out a special message of appreciation to our members and colleagues around the world, for their incredible support and efforts during these unprecedented times.
Please stay positive, let’s be there for each other, and know that the IIC community is with you.
Take care and all good wishes,
Sarah Stannage, IIC Executive Director
